ALONG WITH Filipe Santos of Polytechnic Leiria, I’m teaching 25 people how to create practical workflows with AI through a series of sophisticated active learning sessions. The first activity we’re doing involves showing the importance of keeping the human touch in the centre of all things AI. To show what this means firsthand, we’ll review the AI-generated selfie avatars created by the group. The prompts used to create these images should incorporate contextual cues. During RUNEUAI, the avatars will be accompanied by an explanation of the prompts and technologies used to create the images. RUNEUAI students will main a Prompts Notebook for sharing and review during the course.
In my case, I asked ChatGPT-5 to produce a selfie avatar image of a man who looks like Robin Williams sharing a spice bag with two people in Ireland.
