There are so many echo chambers online. Too many pundits, journalists and political elites use Xwitter to gauge popular discourse and identify stories–that worked during the Era of Responsible Moderation but Elon changed the discussion mode to make the space bot-friendly. And now, there are unchecked far-right ideas in public discourse accompanied by complacent acceptance by broadcasters, journalists, and politicians. There needs to be a community ethos restored in online spaces.

I’m looking at the global coverage given to the memorialisation of CK and conclude that for much of the media, Xwitter has become Real Life. I had to look to see what happened in Glendale’s State Farm Stadium last week. Discovered lots of merch on sale in a stadium full of people I don’t know.
