I’m writing a NTS that I can put into my Google Calendar for 1530 August 25, 2024 on the pinpoint of the fountain on the square of Cahir. The event is the Cahir Historical Society’s Bianconi-themed guided tour of Cahir. After the walking tour, the Society will show the documentary Bianconi The Man Who Changed Ireland in the audiovisual room of Cahir Castle. Bianconi ran his carriages several times a day between Clonmel and Cahir. Today’s 12 minute trip required several hours in the 1800s.
