My family home in Pennsylvania hosted seven of us before I left for college. Today the same home hosts 17 birds and some of them have to be taken outside for daily walks.

When I drove off the boat and onto Irish soil for the first time 28 years ago, I had alligator clips, electrician’s tape, and a 300 baud modem so I could continue using CompuServe. Parts of the Fediverse remind me of my text-based connections from the 90s.
